At Type A Machines we believe in Accessible Source.
For us, Open source is about fostering a better relationship with our community. We believe that value is created when people are free to hack, modify, repair and even build our machine from scratch. We
encourage customers and enthusiasts to customize, play with and improve our products. We want to be told we are wrong, that you know better, and here is how you did it.

Sadly, patent lawsuits are a reality. We also don‘t want our designs to be taken by a company that, although they may follow the law and rules to the letter, do not do so in the spirit in which they were written. Type A Machines will hold patents, and we will encourage our users, community and other enthusiasts to explore and develop those ideas.

We call this accessible source, and it is about recognizing that development of our company and our products is a dialogue, and that our users have a valuable voice.
