This cage is meant to be cut out of 1/8" thick 6061 Aluminum. If bending with a finger break, the bottom tab should be bumped to 90 degrees with 4-5 separate bends, because otherwise the 6061 will crack. You can obviously also use a more easily formable grade of aluminum, but 6061 does work well if you are careful.
