At first I designed a spring replacement utilizing a confined rubber compression cone as a direct replacement for the original suspension part. Unfortunately the maximum compression force for the small size was around 5000lb and when I increased the size of the component (this required a redesign of the main suspension arm to clear) the hinge point mounting failed.

As a result I've taken a different approach - Instead of a quick fix_ Do it the right way.
